Read Across North Dakota
Get ready for an adventure across North Dakota – Read Across North Dakota! Use interactive video to connect your class with a class from a different area of North Dakota, and read to each other. Your students will connect by video in the Read Across North Dakota event with another classroom in North Dakota. The activity is organized by EduTech.
The activity is open to K-12 students who have access to H.323 (IP) videoconference equipment. Your class will be matched with a class from a different area of North Dakota. Each class will exchange reading activities. Classroom-to-classroom connections will take place January 27–28, 2010. Each connection is scheduled for an hour:
- 15 minutes for testing and introductions
- 30 minutes for the reading activity (15 minutes per classroom)
- 15 minutes for exchanging information about the school and communities
Ideas for activities: debates, skits, plays, dramatizations, or reading your favorite book passage.
