i-SAFE (i-LEARN) Online Course
EduTech has partnered with the i-SAFE organization to offer the i-SAFE (i-LEARN) Online Course to busy North Dakota educators at no charge.
The course may be stopped, paused and rewound for completion at your convenience. For EduTech's purposes, you may take up to three (3) weeks to complete the course.
Implementation is not required. As of July 1, 2009, i-SAFE moved to a subscription model for many of their materials. You may continue to complete the i-SAFE (i-LEARN) online course at no cost, however, you will not have access to i-SAFE curriculum unless your school purchases an i-SAFE subscription directly through the i-SAFE organization.
If you decide to register for this course, you will receive an e-mail from EduTech asking you to complete five phases in order to receive the four (4) hours to be used toward EduTech's NDSU graduate credit.
Once you have registered for the course with EduTech, you will:
-be instructed to create an i-SAFE account
-receive an e-mail from i-SAFE confirming your i-SAFE username and password (this login is different from your EduTech login)
-view the seven (7) Professional Development Program (PDP) units (a little over 5 hours running time)
-register your course completion with EduTech
After EduTech confirms your course completion with the i-SAFE organization, four (4) hours will be recorded in your training dashboard.
NOTE: The four (4) hours you earn are accumulated, along with other eligible EduTech training hours, to be available for use toward EduTech's NDSU graduate credit for a period of two (2) years. At least 15 hours are needed for each NDSU graduate credit and separate processing fees apply.
