MAC Addresses

A MAC address uniquely identifies the network hardware in your computer used to connect to STAGEnet and the Internet. If you need to request a static IP address for any of your equipment, you will need to provide the MAC address of the network card that will use that IP address. It's possible for servers, and even laptop computers with WiFi capabilities, to have multiple network cards and therefore, multiple MAC addresses, so it's important that you identify the correct one.
