INSTEP
Instructional Technology Partners (INSTEP) targets teachers who are hesitant to implement instructional technologies into their curriculum. Using technology resources currently available in the school, three-five teachers work one-on-one with an EduTech partner. Each teacher designs, modifies and integrates a technology-based activity into some part of the curriculum, ultimately receiving the materials and skills to become a technology partner. In order for this program to be successful, the school administrator (principal) is involved in all phases by attending the sessions, observing the process, and being present when the lesson or activity is implemented in the classroom. The administrator also offers support, encourages the teachers to complete the course requirements, and identifies ways to sustain the program.
