2nd Videoconference with Senator Dorgan

The second videoconference with Senator Dorgan took place on Tuesday, January 15th from 10:00 - 10:45am CST.

Two schools participated in the event, Oakes and Zeeland. Twenty four juniors and seniors from Oakes high school social studies classes and twenty one 7th through 12th grade students from Zeeland developed questions for the Senator to answer in the forty-five minute videoconference. The topics ranged from social security, cost of higher education, No Child Left Behind, farming, issues in the Middle East, and North Dakota state history. These events were a great experience and I would like to thank Senator Dorgan and his staff for taking time to talk one-on-one with these four groups of students. I would also like to thank the teachers and students for developing great questions to conduct an interesting discussion.
