Importing Pictures Into PowerSchool
Pictures can be imported into PowerSchool by providing a CD containing the 2 following items
1. Import Map File
Must be tab-delimited text file
Must contain the student number, lastfirst name and name of the picture. (It may be best to export out your students names and their numbers and give it to your photographer. Your photographer can then name the photo using the student number. One way you could do this is choose your students and choose the quick export function and export out student_number and lastfirst)
EX: A student has a number of 12345 and his/her picture is named 12345; the first record in your file would look like this
12345 bitz,melissa 12345.jpg
2.Pictures
Pictures must be in a JPEG format
Image files should be no larger than 200 pixels wide by 300 pixels high, and have a total file size of no more than 20kB (a file size of 10kB is recommended to conserve bandwidth, particularly if teachers are expected to download student photos to PowerGrade).
The photos must be in a single file, not different files for different grades or schools.
Once you have this information, please mail the CD to:
