New STAGEnet Coming

North Dakota's Information Technology Department (ITD) and EduTech will host four statewide informational sessions to prepare school administrators and technology leaders for the STAGEnet upgrade planned for summer 2009. Schools currently on STAGEnet are expected to be upgraded from T1 connections to at least 10 megabit Ethernet connections which will significantly increase bandwidth. This upgrade will require ITD technical staff to be onsite in each school building over the summer months replacing equipment and conducting testing.

Although funding is still in legislation, it is not too early to prepare for ways to expedite and simplify the installation process. The information obtained from this session will assist in completing the upgrade on a timely basis and to meet any unique needs a school may have. There is no cost to participate in this training. Schools are strongly encouraged to send at least one representative.

Training dates and locations are listed below. All sessions will begin at 1:00 p.m. and run until 4:00 p.m. To register for one of the trainings, view the STAGEnet Workshop details in the Training section of our website. If you are unable to attend one of the scheduled trainings, a video opportunity will be made available at a later date.
