A Special Invitation to Participate in MegaconferenceJr. 2009
Megaconference Jr., now in its sixth year, is a project designed to give students in elementary and secondary schools around the world the opportunity to communicate, collaborate and contribute to each other's learning in real time, using advanced multi-point video conferencing technology. This worldwide event will take place in video locations around the world beginning at 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST on February 19, 2009.
Whether your students wish to design and conduct their very own presentation or are interested in viewing presentations around the world now is the perfect time to get involved by registering today!
Presentations are video-based and focus on academic and cultural issues. Participants will have an opportunity to address questions to presenters and collaborate with geographically diverse peers in collaborative learning activities, thus building international cultural awareness. There is no cost to participate. Contact your EduTech Regional ITS to register. For additional information on registration, deadlines and other pertinent details visit MegaconferenceJr.
Deadline to submit a presentation proposal is November 15, 2008 and general registration for all observing sites deadline is January 30, 2009.
