“Real Connections: Delivery Models and Enriched Content with Distance Learning”

K-12 teachers are invited to join us this summer in learning about “Real Connections: Delivery Models and Enriched Content with Distance Learning”. This two-day workshop will be conducted by videoconference in locations across the state on August 11-12, 2008. Participants have the option to attend one or both days.

Workshops begin at 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Cost for both days is $80 or $60 for a single day payable to EduTech. Graduate credit is available upon completion of two-day workshop. Graduate credit cost is $65 payable to North Dakota State University. Lunch is on your own. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops.

Day 1: Participants will learn of content rich Web 2.0 applications available to complement classroom instruction. An overview of the videoconference scheduling basics will be provided and instruction on using the “system” to engage students will also be discussed. Participants will be introduced to available videoconference content providers in North Dakota and across the country.

Day 2: Participants will learn the basics and advanced features of Blackboard’s Online Learning System.
